A new gateway to Northstowe
As Northstowe develops into a thriving new town, it’s vital that the right measures are in place to improve transport connections for residents, commuters, and visitors.
Homes England has been working hard to provide quick, smooth, and safe access to Northstowe. The new access road, footways and cycleways offer long-term solutions, linking Northstowe to Bar Hill, Cambridge and beyond.
Homes England will open the new access road late on Friday 29 September 2023. The road, and associated footways and cycleways, are designed to provide safe swift access to the existing and future developments in Northstowe Town and to reduce road use in and around Longstanton. A new cycleway and footway route runs adjacent to the entire length of the road linking with existing provision in the area.
