Northstowe Christmas Switch-On 25th November - Please join!

On Saturday 25th November, the Christmas tree lights will be lit on The Green, Northstowe (CB24 1FD)!!
Please note: this will be a somewhat more low-key event than residents may have become used to in the last two years. However....we still have the following exciting things lined up for you - please do join in the fun and help the Town Mayor during the countdown to lighting up the Christmas lights at 6PM!
> Through the kind support from Northstowe Foodies there will be two (possibly three - TBC) food vans and also a drink van (with alcohol) - between the hours of 5 and 8 - some tables and chairs are likely to be arranged (TBC), so people can enjoy their food and drinks even more.
> Through the lovely help of Northstowe Hub, free Hot Chocolate drinks being served on The Green in front of The Cabin (Community Centre) between 5 and 7 pm.
> Through the wonderful offer from Anna J - from Northstowe Open Mic, she will be singing wonderful X-massy songs between the hours of 5 and 6 pm.
So: ALL WELCOME TO JOIN IN FOR A COZY GATHERING AND HELP COUNT DOWN TO SWITCHING ON THE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS - see you there? :)
Oh, and please also note that Northstowe Open Mic will have a (free) session that same evening in The Cabin (Community Centre) between 6:30 and 9pm as well!

* Thank you: Greenbelt and Homes England for their generous and kind sponsorship towards the costs of the Christmas tree! and for approval to make use of the Green for the event and Christmas tree.
* Thank you: Phoenix Events (East) Ltd, who will be supporting the event management, for their sponsorship; they have given us a special deal for staffing costs on the day.
* Thank you: South Cambridgeshire District Council for their support - making use of The Green and the services in The Cabin on the evening, and for promoting the event as part of the Northstowe Winter Festival.
