Decisions made: Full Council meeting 25 MAR 2025
Published: 27 March 2025
Key decisions made by Northstowe Town Council at its most recent Full Council meeting held on 25th of March 2025:
Following voting on co-option, the Town Council warmly welcomes their newest Member, Councillor Glyn Hughes. This is a good milestone, as it also means that all 15 Member seats are filled again.
The Council discussed the latest proposals for the Town Council’s bid submission, to South Cambridgeshire District Council, how it would take on and manage and maintain the Unity Centre once this is opened in early 2026. With a few amendments, the various documents prepared were approved to be submitted to the District Council before their deadline at the end of the week.
The Council decided to award the contract for maintenance of the verges alongside the B1050 to Brookfield, for a further three years, for the 2025, 2026 and 2027 grass mowing seasons.
The Council, following a request from Northstowe News to consider this, decided to provide Northstowe News magazine with a regular payment donation of £100 per issue to support the volunteer-run magazine with its rising costs.
